The County’s 2018 property tax records show that there were about 5,000 homes and businesses in COBX. Of these 10% were full time residents listing 27927 as the zip code of their permanent address. Interviews with Homeowner Association managers suggest that an additional 15% of homes and businesses are occupied by their owners during the summer months. It is assumed that the remaining 75% of structures are occupied by their owners only for the two weeks authorized for rental properties.
