County Commissioners and County Management need to understand how our economy works and how changes to the economy affect the County government budget revenues and costs. This was addressed for each of the five Currituck regions during the most recent Land Use Plan Activity and our budget projections then indicated a tax hike was likely.

I have updated that work using the most recent audit and tax data as well as the County’s 2024 budget.
